What is OID?

Object Identifier (OID) is an identification system jointly promoted by ISO/IEC (International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission) and ITU (International Telecommunication Union). It is used to identify "anything in the world of communication and information processing."

OID is a globally unique value associated with an object, used to unambiguously identify the object, ensuring that the object can be correctly located and managed in communication or information processing. Simply put, an OID is the “identity card” of an object in the networked world.

What is OID?

Digital Object Identifier (DOID) is the application of object identifiers in the Web3.0 domain, used to identify “anything in the world of blockchain and Web3.0.”

In the Web3.0 world, a DOID can be used to identify any digital assets such as FT, NFT, and RWA, as well as to identify entities like wallets, DAO organizations, and trading platforms. It provides an unambiguous, globally unique value for any object in the Web3.0 world. Simply put, a DOID is the “identity card” of an object in the Web3.0 world.
